As each player is assigned a colour to differentiate their character from other users who've selected the same character, I thought it made the most sense to differentiate each character's HUD elements in the same way, the blue character's HUD elements are written in blue, for example.

These text colours are also used on the game over screen to identify which players performed the best.

As the game currently supports up to four players, I decided to place each HUD element in a separate corner of the screen. The HUD elements have the character's name, their damage, and their remaining lives (in a finite life game).
